Preserving common EU heritage create common EU identity
Short description of the project, including its aims Title: Preserving common EU heritage create common EU identity The project proposal will promote the role of European heritage as a key element of the establishment of the European identity. It focuses on presentation the common European past and heritage as a basis for common European future. Project activities will include meetings and discussions about the opportunities provided by common heritage and the challenges that are linked to it. Project aims to: • Encourage the intercultural dialogue and knowledge about European heritage as a shared resource; • Raise awareness of common heritage and common values; • Enhanced meaning of belonging to common European history; • Sharing good practices for protection, preservation, and promotion of European heritage. Role of the partner organisation in the project To contribute to the implementation of project activities and to the achievement of the project results Comments from the applicant We are looking for the 4th project partner. It will be nice if it is form France. This way we will have the representatives from the all four part of Europe - East, West, North and South. That will help us with the argumentation of our project idea.
Municipality of Shabla is located in northeastern Bulgaria, in the southern Dobrudja district with administrative center in Dobrich. Shabla is located about 25 km from the Romanian border and 80 km from Varna. The town of Shabla is located 6 km from the Black Sea coast. Shabla Municipality consists of 1 town and 15 villages. Population - 5069 people at the National Statistical Institute from February 2011. Area - 325 km2 Municipality of Shabla works to protect culture heritage and advocates for the sustainable use of natural resources, by: contributing to the protection, maintenance and restoration of places of local importance for culture and nature heritage; taking actions to maintain and restore the area and quality of natural objects important for tourist activities; working to attract more people to the idea of natural conservation, building networks of tourist structures to integrate wetlands and tourist needs; needs into business practices for the benefit of people and tourist activities; assisting state, public, academic, business and other institutions, organizations and individuals in their work on wetland conservation and tourist activities;
